Today is Gov. Andrew Cuomo's last day in office. According to CHIP's new update Kathy Hochul might make some big changes to resolve the housing issues as soon as she is sworn in. Last week she issued a statement saying that she would work with the State Legislature to strengthen eviction protections. Now that can mean a number of things, such as a new statewide Covid emergency order due to the new delta variant or it could mean she is going to work with state lawmakers to come up with a new residential eviction moratorium. Either way we will see action soon.
